Firstly l need to say that l need honest, non judgemental , and am going to be as open as l can. If it causes offence l have not intended it. My boyfriend + l have an amazingly happy, loving relationship, I've did not know it was possible to find someone who suited me so well in every way possible! I am slightly concerned about something though. His sex drive is normal, if not higher than average, and we have a very fulfilling sex life, but he struggles to maintain an errection. He gets very hard from oral sex, but by the time we're ready for penetration he is almost soft again. l just wanna know if this is a problem or just the way he is? He does not seem to think it is a problem, he does not get embarrassed about it, and it does not bother me at all (We dated for over a year befoer we started sleeping together, so im not in it for sex), l was just wondering if it could be a medical condition at the age of 21 (l know ED usually only affects older men) or if that is just the way he is
Oh, if it helps at all, he is very active with soccer and running, and the 'problem' seems worse after he is done a lot of sport during the day.

Since he is able to achieve and maintain an erection for oral sex it is likely he has psychological or performance anxiety issues.
You might do a little on line reading on performance anxiety

The determination is to whether he has physiological ED or psychological ED. If the former, there are medicines he can take to correct it; if the latter, then he needs to figure out what has changed in his thinking
